Green Infrastructure Specialist

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating work on Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) grants related to green infrastructure, including stormwater management and urban forestry initiatives. The specialist will oversee grant management, budgeting, and project coordination, as well as engage with stakeholders to promote green infrastructure projects.

The role requires review and analysis of project proposals, budgets, and progress reports, as well as collaboration with departmental staff to identify and pursue funding opportunities to support green infrastructure initiatives. Additionally, the specialist will provide technical guidance and support to ensure that projects meet environmental regulations and standards.

Responsibilities:
• Grant management and budgeting.
• Project coordination and monitoring.
• Technical assistance and support to project teams.
• Stakeholder engagement and outreach.

Requirements:
• A bachelor's degree in environmental science, ecology, biology, or a related field.
• Two years of experience in environmental project management or a related field.

• Familiarity with EPA grant programs and application processes.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working on green infrastructure projects, including stormwater management and urban forestry initiatives.
• Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations related to environmental permitting and compliance.

About This Position:

This is a full-time position within the Office of Environmental Programs (OEP). OEP develops environmental policy, oversees environmental compliance, and leads environmental initiatives.
