Job Description

Xcel Energy is seeking an Environmental & Public Policy Intern in Denver, CO, for students pursuing relevant degrees. About the position

Responsibilities
• Assist in developing strategies and policies for clean energy transition.

Requirements
• Current student with Sophomore or Junior status.

• Enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Environmental Policy, Government Affairs, or Political Science.

• Ability to commute to the corporate office in Denver, CO.

• Availability to work full-time during the summer and part-time during the spring.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.

• Interest in environmental policy, energy, law, and project management.

Nice-to-haves
• 3.0 GPA or higher on a 4.0 scale.

• Completed undergraduate coursework in energy, environmental policy, state and local politics, or engineering.
