Job Description

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development is seeking an Environmental Protection Specialist in Albuquerque, NM. The role requires specialized experience in environmental compliance under NEPA and the Toxic Substances Control Act, along with advising leadership on related issues. Candidates should have at least one year of relevant experience equivalent to the GS-13 level. The position is open to eligible applicants and offers both full-time and part-time schedules.
This position is located at Department of Housing and Urban Development, Office of Lead Hazard Control and Healthy Homes.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized Experience: For the GS-14 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
- Planning, implementing, or authoring environmental compliance guidance and regulations for projects under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) of 1969 (83 Stat. 852) [42 U.S.C. 4321]; AND
- Planning, implementing, or authoring environmental compliance guidance and regulations for projects under the Toxic Substances Control Act; AND
- Advising senior leadership on environmental protection and compliance issues.

Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service . One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week on your resume.
