Halff is hiring an Environmental Project Manager-Remediation and Compliance in Oklahoma City, OK. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in geology, chemistry, or environmental science. About the position
Halff is seeking a highly motivated environmental professional with a Bachelor of Science in geology, chemistry, environmental science, or related degree for hire in our Oklahoma City office. This position would be part of a highly competent team that works closely with Project Managers and other Technical Leads performing due diligence, remediation, compliance, permitting, and other environmental sampling activities. This mid-level position will be responsible for completing and providing oversight field investigation activities, serving as the Site-Safety and Health Officer during field investigation activities completed at Federal facilities/installations, training junior staff in standard operating procedures (SOPs) during field activities, conducting/reviewing Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, completing compliance inspections/sampling, preparing reports, and overall support of the environmental department with potential for growth into a project management role. This position will include opportunities for both field and office work. It may also involve extensive travel and several days in the field away from home. Responsibilities
• Collaborate and provide support of field investigations, including environmental media sampling, groundwater monitoring, and site characterization.

• Support Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality (ODEQ) program reporting, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), and Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) documentation and reporting.

• Complete Phase I and Phase II projects.
,
• Communicate with clients for property access and site data to support Phase I and Phase II.
,
• Begin building relationships to become trusted advisor to clients, both internal and external.
,
• Receptive to training and guidance on fieldwork, data interpretation, and reporting.
,
• Willingness to participate in professional development through guidance.
,
• Stay up to date with industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in environmental remediation and compliance.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or higher in geology, chemistry, environmental sciences, engineering, or related field of study from an accredited university.
,
• This position will require field work and travel, as well as early start times and occasional night or weekend work. Will require some extended travel (more than 7 consecutive days).

• Working knowledge of field documentation and sampling techniques, equipment maintenance or repair, or other activities.
,
• Experience conducting work under the regulatory authority of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Texas Commission on Environmental Quality Texas Risk Reduction Program, Railroad Commission of Texas, Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality, Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality, and Oklahoma Corporation Commission is a plus.

• GIS experience a plus.

• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification is a plus.

• Willingness to travel and possess a valid driver's license in good standing. Candidate will be required to pass a background check to enter Federal Facilities.

• Willingness to obtain certifications and participate in training activities as needed to support the team.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to clearly communicate both verbal and written technical information.

• Demonstrated ability to interface effectively and collaborate with clients, peers, management, and vendors to successfully meet shifting needs.
