Job Description
LVI Associates is seeking an Environmental Project Manager in St. Louis, MO, responsible for developing renewable energy projects, particularly solar and wind. Key tasks include project siting, permitting, and team leadership. Candidates should have a relevant degree and experience in large-scale infrastructure projects. The role requires onsite presence and occasional travel. The position offers a competitive salary of $110K–160K, benefits, and a supportive work environment.
Environmental Development PlannerSt Louis, MOKey Responsibilities:Assist in the development and expansion of a portfolio of renewable energy generation assets.Achieve success in siting and permitting large-scale solar and/or wind generation facilities.Coordinate internal and external resources (engineering, finance, legal, environmental, etc.) to develop candidate projects effectively.Oversee project structuring and manage development through financial close and the start of construction.Stay informed about the relevant business and competitive environment, including regulatory and environmental legislation.Lead and develop teams and subordinates effectively.Participate in special projects as required.Onsite presence required in St. Louis, MO.Travel to project sites as necessary.Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree or higher in engineering, environmental science, land use planning, business, or a related field.Experience in developing large-scale infrastructure projects in the energy sector, with at least 4 years in renewable project development, preferably in the solar and/or wind industry, or 5-10 years in real estate development, environmental consulting, or engineering management on infrastructure projects.Strong analytical skills and commercial acumen.Self-motivated with an independent work ethic and demonstrated leadership ability, ideally in a development role overseeing multiple projects/transactions simultaneously.Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership.Proficient in computer skills (Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint, Google Earth, Adobe, etc.).Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial organization.Intermediate experience in real estate, public speaking, permitting, market assessment, contractual relationships, and negotiating commercial agreements.Benefits:We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salaries, health insurance, retirement plans, and opportunities for professional development.
