Job Summary

Environmental Project Managers generally work as a team with other technicians, specialists, or project managers and assume greater responsibility of completing tasks, and reporting information. The Environmental Project Managers lead and manage projects, assist in proposal creation, report writing, and invoicing/budgeting tasks. Assigned tasks include:
• Managing subcontractors on Site
• Supporting PM in the office
• Report writing
• Data entry
• Groundwater Monitoring
• Disposal
• Subcontractor oversight
• Remedial system O&M

Supervisory Responsibilities
None.

Collaboration
• Works with more senior staff for direction and training
• Teaches newer staff
• Communicate with PM’s
• Participates in planning/organizing projects

Accountability
• Ensures FWO’s/Documents are submitted upon completion of task
• Follow up with newer staff
• Help other staff
• Provides project feedback

Essential Job Functions:
• Lead tasks on more complex projects
• Support planning with project manager
• Manage field activities while other staff complete work
• Work Safely
• Client interaction
• Regulatory interaction
• Troubleshooting
• Budgeting/costing projects
• Take good notes in the field
• Execute field work orders
• Calibrate/operate field instruments
• Maintain vehicle fleet
• Read and understand Field Work Orders
• Communicate with project managers
• Collect information and data in a prescribed fashion and consistent with OES’ protocols and procedures
• Report “unusual” or “inconsistent” observations to project managers directly
• “Ask questions” if unsure

Teamwork:
• Train junior staff by mentoring on the job
• Participate in team planning, status, and other meetings
• Participate in team functions as applicable
• Participate in Safety Training programs
• Direct and indirect supervision of other field staff and contractors

Client Relations:
• Represent the company in a positive way at all times
• Be courteous of others
• Discuss elements of the scope of work
• Relay information as directed from PM

Regulatory Interaction
• Typically direct regulatory queries to project managers to respond
• Answer questions in the field

Licenses/Industry Standards
• Advise supervisor of training needs
• Maintain the appropriate CEUs
• Maintain licenses

All other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to work in different weather conditions.
Must be able to travel and possibly stay overnight at times when the job requires.
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
Must be able to wear required PPE.
Must be able to traverse dangerous and hazardous areas during a variety of situations.
