About the position

The Environmental Project Manager at POWER Engineers will oversee environmental services and strategies for energy-related projects, including electric transmission lines, renewable energy projects, and midstream pipelines. This role involves managing project teams, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and interfacing with clients and subcontractors. The position is based in a hybrid working environment in either Reno or Las Vegas, Nevada, and requires travel for client and project meetings.

Responsibilities
• Coordinate project team's work and deliverables
,
• Monitor project schedule and budget
,
• Engage in business development and proposal writing
,
• Interface with internal staff and clients
,
• Manage multiple projects at various stages and locations
,
• Client coordination including project scope, budget, schedule, and forecasting
,
• Review and submit environmental planning and analysis documents to clients
,
• Prepare and assist clients with submittals for federal, state, and local permit applications
,
• Participate in field reviews, project compliance inspections, and site meetings

Requirements
• BS degree in Landscape Architecture, Environmental Planning, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related degree
,
• Ten (10) + years of experience in environmental permitting and planning or construction compliance for energy-related projects
,
• Skills in project management, technical writing, environmental planning and analysis, regulatory compliance, and public involvement
,
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
,
• Working knowledge of federal and state environmental policy and regulation

Nice-to-haves
• MS in Environmental Planning, Environmental Science, or a related degree
,
• Previous utility background and experience
,
• Experience in proposal writing and presentations
,
• Experience with electric transmission lines and substations, energy storage, renewable power generation facilities, and/or natural gas pipelines
