Tired of doing the field work? Want to get in a place to have a real impact on the project? We are seeking an environmental professional with five to ten years of experience to join us as a full-time Environmental Project Manager in the Boston, MA area. As an Environmental Project Manager, you would work directly with New England based senior staff to directly manage ongoing remedial and operations and maintenance work at several different CERCLA sites with ongoing in- and ex-situ treatment systems, Monitored Natural Attenuation (MNA) programs, surface water monitoring, etc. This will involve evaluating performance data, preparing periodic reports, coordinating work by consultants and contractors, generating and reviewing technical submittals, tracking required schedule and confirming compliance, tracking budgets and invoice review and deliverable requirements and confirming they are achieved, as well as interfacing with regulatory staff and clients.
We manage technical, administrative, and financial aspects of major environmental projects. Our Client has served as the Project Coordinator or Manager at more than 140 Superfund, RCRA, state-program, voluntary cleanup, and radiological decommissioning sites across the country.
Basic Qualifications:
· Intrinsically motivated, willing, and able to continue gaining expertise
· B.S. Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or a related field
· Minimum of 5 years’ experience in environmental engineering / consulting / contracting
· Proficient in Office 365 applications
· OSHA 40-hour “HAZWOPER” training certification (This position requires ongoing annual OSHA physicals and training).
· Effective communications skills - in person, over the phone, and through virtual meetings
· A valid United States driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications:
· M.S. Degree in Environmental, Engineering, Hydrogeology, or related field
· Professional certifications (or ability / intent to obtain within two years of employment): PE, PG, PMP, etc.
· Other – proficiency in MS Project, ArcView, CAD, and/ or WordPress,
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not Limited to:
· Selfless pursuit of client satisfaction, setting and meeting expectations, and tireless client advocacy
· Manage implementation of project work, including performing quality control audits

Prepare progress reports and status memos as needed, including comments from clients, and ensuring final versions incorporate all required changes
Develop and track project schedules, evaluate alternatives to address delays
Review and comment on consultant’s and contractor’s technical submittals, providing proactive, constructive feedback and direction
Evaluate cost-effective and implementable remedial approaches and technologies
Manage and respond to changing conditions (site data, schedules, budgets, emerging contaminants, etc.)
Develop request for proposal and bid sheets for upcoming investigation or construction efforts, evaluate and compare bids received

· Track, report, and project costs incurred by contractors and consultants, assigning costs to task or line-item budgets

Review and make recommendations for payment of consultant and contractor(s)’ invoices, with focus on adherence to contractual requirements and approved budgets
