Environmental Project Leader

Position Summary

Join a dynamic and innovative infrastructure and environmental services contractor as an Environmental Project Leader. We are looking for a seasoned professional to take charge of environmental remediation and compliance projects. In this role, you will work on exciting industrial service projects and help shape the future of our environmental initiatives.

This position involves managing environmental field operations, fostering client relationships, ensuring regulatory compliance, and executing project budgets effectively. The successful candidate will have significant experience in environmental remediation, industrial services, rail-related environmental work, or heavy civil projects and excel in a fast-paced, field-driven setting.

Key Responsibilities
• Oversee the complete lifecycle of various environmental and remediation projects
• Manage site assessments, remediation activities, and compliance with environmental regulations
• Coordinate teams, subcontractors, equipment, and materials efficiently
• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local environmental regulations (EPA, OSHA, etc.)
• Develop and review project scopes, proposals, cost estimates, and schedules
• Track budgets and implement effective cost-control measures
• Conduct regular site visits to ensure safety, quality, and compliance
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong working relationships
• Prepare reports, documentation, and regulatory submissions as necessary
• Identify project risks and implement strategies to mitigate them

Qualifications
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental project management
• Proven expertise in environmental remediation, industrial services, rail environmental support, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of EPA, OSHA, and environmental compliance standards
• Experience managing multiple field crews and subcontractors effectively
• Solid experience in budgeting and cost control
• Willingness to travel regionally to job sites
• Outstanding leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software

Preferred Qualifications
• Familiarity with rail corridor remediation or industrial site cleanup
• Experience with stormwater management, SPCC, soil/groundwater remediation, or hazardous material projects
• PMP certification (preferred but not mandatory)
• Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
