Environmental Project Coordinator

Volkert is seeking an experienced Environmental Project Coordinator in Mobile, AL, to manage NEPA studies for federally funded transportation projects. Responsibilities include coordinating with project teams, conducting site visits, leading public involvement, managing project budgets and schedules, and assisting in business development. Strong communication and GIS skills are preferred. This is a full-time position.
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Environmental and NEPA Project Manager to support our East Gulf located in Alabama. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in preparing NEPA studies for federally funded projects, including Categorical Exclusions (CE), Environmental Assessments (EA), and Environmental Impact Statements (EIS) for various transportation project types and sizes.

As a successful candidate, you will have the opportunity to coordinate with internal project teams, perform site visits for projects as required, lead public involvement efforts for environmental projects, and manage projects to achieve budget, schedule, and quality requirements. Additionally, you will assist in business development for environmental projects and be responsible for GIS experience is a plus, strong communication, interpersonal, and collaborative team skills are required.
