Job Description

EPIP is hiring an Environmental Policy Specialist in Berkeley, CA. The role involves working with the Climate team to implement climate policy strategies, conducting research, assisting with grantmaking, and collaborating with various stakeholders. Strong analytical and strategic skills are required. This is a full-time position with no degree requirements mentioned.
The David and Lucile Packard Foundation is committed to addressing the urgent threat of climate change. As a Climate Program Analyst, you will work closely with the Climate team to implement ambitious strategies on climate policy. This includes conducting research and analysis on topics that inform grantmaking and strategy development, as well as assisting with strategic planning and monitoring, evaluation, and learning activities associated with climate grantmaking.

You will also assist with grantmaking, working with grantees to develop proposals, monitor progress, and review reports. Additionally, you will interact with Foundation staff, grantees, funding partners, government agencies, and content experts to complete assigned projects. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and strategic skills, combined with collaborative skills to work across Foundation teams and with partner organizations.
