Resource Options (ROI) is seeking a Wetland Scientist/Environmental Permitting Specialist with 1 to 8 years of experience for their Bridgewater, MA location, focusing on ecological services in the Providence, RI area. Responsibilities include wetland delineations, impact assessments, and preparing regulatory permit applications. Candidates should have a degree in a related field, experience in wetland evaluation, and familiarity with ArcGIS. The position offers a full-time schedule and a salary of $55K per year.

Job Summary:
ROI is urgently seeking a Wetland Scientist/ ENV Permitting specialist (1 to 8 years’ experience) for the Providence, RI area to help grow a clients ecological services division. The client offers opportunities in multiple aspects of environmental consulting including restoration ecology, wetland identification and mitigation, environmental impact assessment, and rare species habitat assessment.

Responsibilities:

Conducting wetland (and other ecological resource areas) delineations, assessing the potential impacts of infrastructure and development projects

Preparing WPA and NEPA/MEPA documents and regulatory agency permit applications, and designing restoration ecology projects.

Designing wetland and habitat mitigation

Preparation of wetland restoration plans.

Preparation of federal, state, and local permit applications.

Work with and/or support other groups within the company.

Requirements:

B.A., B.S. and/or M.S. in Ecology, Geology, Soil Science, Biology, Natural Resources, or a related course of study.

Prior experience in wetland delineation/habitat evaluation, impact assessment, and regulatory compliance is required

Experience in field ecology, data analysis, and writing.

Experience in restoration design, environmental regulatory compliance, and client/project management is a plus.

Familiarity and/or coursework in ArcGIS is required.

Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills.

Valid driver’s license and vehicle.
