Environmental Monitoring Technician

Hanford Pharmaceuticals is seeking an Environmental Monitoring Technician in Syracuse, NY. Responsibilities include environmental monitoring, preparation of disinfectants, and maintaining laboratory records. Candidates should have an Associate's Degree in Biology or Microbiology and experience in regulated industries is preferred. The position requires working in a fast-paced team environment with potential weekend and overtime hours. Full-time schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM.
Position description:

Duties an EM Technician will perform include: Environmental monitoring for viable and non-viable contaminants, working in pharmaceutical production and under aseptic conditions (ISO 5, Class 100), preparation of disinfectants, and other related duties. Laboratory notebooks and other required paperwork, maintain supplies and equipment. Planning, scheduling, and coordinating, time management, report writing, organizing, analytical ability. Able and willing to work in a fast-paced team environment. Able to work weekends and overtime (a.m. and/or p.m.) as required.

Experience & Education requirements: Associates Degree in Biology or Microbiology with 1 - 3 years' experience preferred, but not necessary. Experience in a regulated industry, knowledge of FDA regulations, cGMPs, GLPs, USP, OOS, CFR 210 and 211, ISO, and SOPs

Typical work schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM.
