Tarmac is seeking an Environmental Monitoring Technician in Whitwell, TN, to join their Land Development Team. We’re currently looking for a passionate and driven Environmental Monitoring Technician to join our successful and innovativeLand Development Team. Actively contributing to improving the sector’s safety performance by complying with the company’s health and safety requirements for the role
Carrying out environmental monitoring on the Company’s sites, including quarries and landfills in line with Company procedures and Industry best practice
Planning and managing own time and workload on a month by month basis
Inputting collected data into the MP5 monitoring database ensuring that monitoring data is inputted correctly and accurately
Supporting the maintenance of site environmental management plans for closed landfills in line with Environmental Management System requirements
Support regulatory engagement with regard to closed landfill sites
Undertake other environmental monitoring duties as requiredWhat We’re Looking For:
Knowledge of environmental monitoring and the collection of monitoring data, practices and procedure, and their application to the business
Knowledge of waste management and quarry operations
Clear and effective communicator with a range of stakeholders
Able to prioritise work, to work under own initiative with the ability to work to fixed deadlines, to understand and follow procedures
