Job Description

Eurofins is seeking an Environmental Monitoring Technician in Gaithersburg, MD. About the position

We have an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Monitoring Technician to support a client site in the Gaithersburg, MD area. This position will involve performing aseptic sampling of both viable and non-viable environmental monitoring and water. The technician will be responsible for accurately completing all data entry requirements using ALCOA+ principles, which ensures data integrity and compliance with regulatory standards. Additionally, the technician will prepare solutions and standards accurately and maintain appropriate documentation to support laboratory operations. The role also includes operating the autoclave to ensure a reliable supply of sterile supplies, performing receiving duties, and assisting in quality control archiving, logbook management, and records retention. The technician will maintain adequate inventories for tasks such as reagents, glassware, and media, and may perform basic laboratory tests as needed. Furthermore, the technician will provide support services for analysts in the QC lab, which includes cleaning and maintaining the general lab facilities, ordering lab chemicals and supplies, and managing inventory effectively. Eurofins is hiring for a full-time employee; however, there is no guarantee that this role will be ongoing beyond 12 months. Alternative positions at this and other Eurofins PSS sites may be considered if the client no longer needs support.

Responsibilities

Requirements
• Prior GMP experience

• Prior Biologics experience
,
• Experience in aseptic sampling and testing
,
• Microbiology and/or QC experience
,
• Associate's or other technical Degree
,
• Knowledge of GMP
,
• Experience working in a laboratory
,
• Effective communication skills
