Job Description

The Environmental Manager will lead environmental compliance, sustainability initiatives, and ISO 14001 certification efforts for a battery cell storage manufacturing facility. This role involves securing

permits, ensuring regulatory compliance, and collaborating with leadership, regulatory agencies, and local communities to drive environmental stewardship and minimize environmental impact.

Job Description:

- Secure environmental operating permits and maintain compliance with regulations.

- Implement and oversee ISO 14001 certification and the Environmental Operating System.

- Provide environmental oversight during site construction, manufacturing launch, and production.

- Develop and execute sustainability plans to reduce waste, water usage, and material consumption.

- Analyze environmental data and perform quality control checks.

- Stay updated on federal, state, and local environmental regulations.

- Represent the company in environmental matters with regulatory agencies and industry groups.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in environmental, manufacturing engineering, or related sciences preferred.

- 5+ years of environmental compliance experience in SWPPP, SPCC, wastewater, Title V air compliance, or RCRA hazardous waste.

- Experience ensuring compliance with environmental laws and regulations in manufacturing.

- Knowledge of air, stormwater, and wastewater permitting and hazardous waste management.

- Experience with ISO 14001-2015 certification, internal auditor training preferred.

- Strong technical reporting and presentation skills.
