Job Description

TRC Talent Solutions is hiring an Environmental Manager in Germantown, TN, to lead HSE compliance for an EV battery manufacturer. Responsibilities include developing HSE programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, conducting audits, and managing environmental documentation. Candidates should have a relevant degree and 5+ years of experience in environmental compliance, preferably in manufacturing. This is a fully onsite role.
TRCTalent is seeking a driven HSE Compliance Manager to lead the development, implementation, and auditing of health, safety, and environmental programs. In this role, you'll ensure regulatory compliance, reduce operational risk, and foster a strong safety culture across all business units. You'll also work closely with internal teams and regulatory bodies to manage risk, support sustainability, and drive continuous improvement. This is a fully onsite role with a cutting-edge EV battery manufacturer in Byhalia MS.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and enforce HSE programs and policies in alignment with regulatory requirements
• Lead training, audits, inspections, and risk mitigation efforts across business units
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and industry standards
• Provide expert guidance on regulatory interpretation and safety culture initiatives
• Manage environmental documentation, permitting, and compliance reporting
• Conduct environmental impact assessments and implement mitigation measures
• Serve as primary liaison to regulatory agencies and local community stakeholders
• Oversee environmental monitoring, corrective actions, and compliance training
• Support startup and lifecycle operations with environmental risk management

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field (advanced degree or certification preferred)
• 5+ years’ experience in environmental compliance, ideally in manufacturing or battery/automotive sectors
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance systems
• Excellent communication, project management, and analytical skills
• Proficient with environmental assessment tools and software
• PE license or Certified Environmental Professional a plus
• Able to lift 10–25 lbs and work in varied physical environments
