The Opportunity
An Environmental Manager is needed at Par Pacific, a growth-oriented energy company. The role requires effective leadership and team management skills to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide leadership to the environmental team and foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
• Develop and oversee employee training plans to maintain qualifications for job performance.
• Maintain communications on environmental issues and compliance status across all levels of the organization.
• Manage workload by prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and allocate resources as needed.
Program Management:
• Oversight of yearly budgets for the environmental group and cost control.
• Development and monitoring of key environmental performance indicators.
• Review of staffing needs for in-house employees, contract employees, and outside consultants.
Environmental Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
• Manage regulatory reporting and address environmental incidents promptly.
• Lead and represent Par Pacific in response to agency investigations and/or requests for information.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, chemistry, or a related field.
• Ten years of experience in an environmental field, preferably in refining, petrochemical, or oil and gas sectors.
• Solid understanding of DEQ and EPA regulations.
