Your Job

This is a unique opportunity to contribute your skills and experience as an Environmental Manager at Georgia-Pacific's Talladega, AL and Rome, GA Lumber Facilities. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring environmental excellence and compliance with governmental regulations across both sites.

Environmental Excellence

We are seeking a highly motivated professional to lead our environmental management program, providing strategic direction and technical expertise to ensure long-term value creation. This includes identifying and mitigating risks, developing and implementing environmental compliance programs, and adhering to Our Values.

Responsibilities
• Provide environmental leadership and technical expertise to the facility leadership and team.
• Develop, implement, and manage environmental compliance programs and systems.
• Lead the environmental program and assist in ensuring compliance with pertinent governmental regulations, including state and federal air regulations for air emissions, stormwater, wastewater, and hazardous waste.
• Ensure site conformance to relative company policies and procedures, such as Georgia Pacific's Environmental Performance Standard.

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Environmental Management, or Environmental Science.
• Three years environmental compliance experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or military environment.

Preferred Qualifications
• 5+ years environmental compliance experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or military environment.
• Experience managing and implementing Title V Operating permits.
• Experience in understanding emissions calculations.
• Experience conducting facility audits or inspections to identify improvement areas.
• Project management experience.
• Experience implementing key management systems/controls such as Permits, Plans, License & Registration, and Compliance Calendars.
