We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Environment Manager to join AtkinsRéalis in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The successful candidate will oversee the environmental aspects of the company portfolio of projects, ensuring alignment with relevant regulations, client policies, and minimizing project impact on the environment.
• *Responsibilities:
• Identify environmental planning philosophies and requirements at design stage.
• Engage reputable environmental consultants for project works and ensure compliance to client policies and Authority permit conditions.
• Ensure all project personnel adhere to environmental policies and procedures.
• Develop biodiversity conservation plans and habitat restoration strategies to enhance ecological connectivity and promote species diversity.
• Create a sustainability culture within company departments.
• *Requirements:**
• Bachelor's degree in an environment-related field (Environmental Science, Biology, Geology, etc.).
• 10-12 years of experience, with 3 years in a senior environmental management role.
• Pre-construction environmental design and planning experience.
• Broad knowledge base across all environmental disciplines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a 'big picture' understanding.
• *Desirable Qualifications:
• Specialist in an environmental discipline (Air Quality, Noise, Hydrogeology, etc.).
• Proficient in using GIS software (ArcMap, QGIS, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of Abu Dhabi & UAE environmental regulations and guidelines.
• Experience in Real Estate Development.
