Job Details
• Serve as lead counsel in environmental litigation in state and federal courts
• Advise clients on environmental regulations, permitting, redevelopment, and compliance strategies
• Handle matters involving air, water, wetlands, hazardous substances, and waste regulation
• Represent clients in administrative proceedings and regulatory enforcement actions
• Conduct environmental due diligence and provide transactional support across firm deals
• Prepare and advocate for land use and environmental permits and approvals at all levels
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and advise clients on business impact
• Mentor and supervise junior attorneys; foster skill development and ethical practice
• Lead client relationships with full operational support

Looking For
• J.D. licensed in New Jersey or New York (Both is a plus)
• 7+ years of environmental law experience with first-chair litigation background
• Experience across environmental litigation, permitting, redevelopment, and compliance
• Strong courtroom, arbitration, and regulatory advocacy skills
• Environmental dispute resolution and administrative hearing experience
• Existing client relationships and portable book of business – ideally $500K+
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to lead and collaborate
• Excellent legal research, writing, and presentation abilities
• Discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive client information
