Job Description
New Jersey LCV seeks an individual passionate about environmental justice to work with communities of color. Responsibilities include developing policies, managing open space portfolios, researching legislation, educating officials, and organizing events. The role requires strong communication skills and a commitment to climate and justice policies. The salary ranges from $42,000 to $50,000 with benefits. This is a full-time position located in Trenton, NJ.
New Jersey League of Conservation Voters is a bipartisan, non-profit organization dedicated to protecting our precious natural resources. We raise awareness of key environmental challenges, increase the efficacy of the environmental community, and advocate for strong environmental policies.

Job Summary
We seek an individual who is passionate about working with us to advance environmental justice and serve communities of color. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to bold climate and justice policies, excellent communication skills, and a passion for our mission.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and analyze environmental justice policies with the Political and Policy Director and Deputy Director.
• Manage the open space policy portfolio, including urban parks and urban farms.
• Research state-level policy and analyze legislation related to environmental justice, voting rights, and democracy.
• Educate elected officials on social and environmental justice issues.
• Organize meetings and represent New Jersey LCV at events.
• Assist in devising campaign plans and provide administrative support for NJPEEC.
• Build relationships with on-the-ground organizations in communities of color.
Requirements
• Experience working with or for low-income stakeholders and/or supporting communities of color.
• Strong commitment to climate and justice policies and coalition efforts.
• Possesses strong organizational, communication, and writing skills.
What We Offer
A salary range of $42,000 - $50,000 depending on experience and qualifications, as well as a robust benefits package.
