Conduct regular inspections of various industrial and commercial facilities to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
Assist senior environmental inspectors in conducting thorough investigations and evaluations of potential environmental hazards.
Document and report any violations or non-compliance issues to the appropriate regulatory agencies.
Monitor and track compliance with permits, licenses, and other environmental requirements.
Educate and inform facility owners and operators on environmental regulations and best practices for conservation.
Assist in the development and implementation of environmental policies and procedures.
Collaborate with other departments and agencies to address environmental concerns and promote conservation efforts.
Keep up-to-date with federal, state, and local environmental regulations and laws.
Conduct research and gather data to support environmental initiatives and projects.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including facility owners, community members, and regulatory agencies.
Maintain accurate and organized records of inspections, investigations, and other environmental activities.
Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills related to environmental protection and conservation.
Promote a positive image of the State of Kentucky and its commitment to preserving and protecting natural resources.
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while performing job duties.
