Environmental Health Safety Specialist

MDA Edge is seeking an Environmental Health Safety Specialist in Ruston, LA. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Safety, Health, or Environmental fields, along with relevant professional certifications. The role requires strong root-cause analysis skills and a minimum of seven years of experience in a safety or environmental role. Responsibilities include being on call 24/7 and occasional travel. The position offers a salary between $90K and $120K annually.
• Bachelor degree in Safety and Health, Environmental or equivalent degree.
• Professional Certifications in Safety, Environmental or Occupational Health (e.g. CSP, CIH, OHST, SMS, CEM, CHMM, etc.)
• Demonstrated Root-Cause analysis skills (RCCA, 5-Whys).
• Ability to be on call, as needed 24/7.
• Ability to travel up to 5%
• Has served as the EHS Leader of the site for a minimum of three years.
• Prior Safety Specific Training (OSHA 30 Hour, Certificate in Occupational Safety & Health, etc.)
• Seven or more years of experience in a safety and/or environmental role in an industrial setting and comfortable of working in a plant environment.
