Environmental, Health & Safety Manager

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead and oversee our organization's compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations. This key leadership role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining programs that ensure a safe and sustainable workplace for all employees while minimizing our environmental impact. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive approach to risk management, a strong understanding of regulatory requirements, and a passion for cultivating a culture of safety and responsibility across all levels of the organization.

Essential Functions
• Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies and procedures in alignment with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements
• Conduct job hazard analyses (JHAs) and risk assessments for construction sites
• Ensure compliance with site-specific safety regulations, including fall protection, confined space entry, and heavy equipment operation
• Ensure projects comply with environmental laws related to air, water, and land protection
• Implement strategies for waste management, pollution control, and sustainable resource use
• Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees and subcontractors
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings before project execution
• Conduct regular site safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards
• Maintain records of safety incidents, training sessions, and regulatory compliance
• Report safety performance metrics to senior management and recommend improvements
• Develop and implement emergency response plans for construction sites
• Conduct emergency drills and ensure first-aid readiness
• Coordinate with local emergency responders and regulatory agencies as needed

Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or a related field
• OSHA 30/OSHA 500, NEBOSH, CSP, CHST, or equivalent safety certifications
• 5 years of HSE management experience in civil engineering or construction
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations, risk assessment, environmental compliance, and accident investigation
