About the Role

As a co-op intern at GE Aerospace, you will have the unique opportunity to develop your leadership and technical skills within a dynamic supply chain and manufacturing environment. You will tackle meaningful challenges that matter, while also building valuable relationships with fellow interns, co-ops, and leaders. This experience will set you up for potential full-time opportunities in our prestigious leadership programs or in direct hiring after graduation.

Your placement will take into account your preferences, major, year of study, and the business needs of GE Aerospace at the time. You should be willing and able to work at any of our 35+ U.S. locations.

Your Responsibilities Include:
• Participating in initiatives that protect the health and safety of GE Aerospace employees, the public, and the environment.
• Conducting industrial hygiene assessments, risk evaluations, and collaborating on environmental compliance efforts including wastewater and air quality management.
• Addressing ergonomic concerns and safety issues within our facilities.
• Understanding and contributing to our EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) management systems and frameworks.
• Coaching teams to adopt sustainable processes that align with EHS requirements.
• Engaging in occupational health and wellness initiatives.

This position is an excellent gateway into GE’s OMLP (Operations Management Leadership Program) post-graduation.

Qualifications:
• Completion of a prior internship with GE Aerospace is required.
• Must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Currently enrolled in an accredited bachelor's or graduate program; relevant majors are listed below.
• Willingness to travel to any of our U.S. locations is necessary.
• Reliable transportation is required for sites without public transport options.

• Chemical Engineering
• Environmental Health and Safety or related fields
• Environmental Engineering
• Industrial Engineering
• Facilities or Maintenance Management
• Occupational Safety and Health

Eligibility Requirements:

All employment offers are contingent on successful completion of a background check and drug screening. Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required, and visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Benefits:

Starting pay for this position is $20/hour, with increases based on completed undergraduate years. If you need to relocate for this role, support for housing and relocation is available.
