As an Environmental Health & Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for solve practical problems, support and maintain environmental and safety programs, and assist in developing and training of EHS programs.
• Salary: 85k/yr.

What you will be doing
• Executes multiple, well defined EHS projects/assignments efficiently and documents the results expeditiously.
• Applies established EHS standards and methods to identify, evaluate and control safety, health and environmental hazards present in the work operations and environment.
• Evaluates operations to determine compliance with company and governmental EHS standards and regulations.
• Performs research and provides information on EHS matters.
• Assists with developing and delivering EHS training and communications to internal personnel.
• Assists with EHS program tasks and activities, including industrial hygiene, biosafety, ergonomics, process safety, environmental compliance, EHS inspections, fire protection, loss control, hazardous waste management and assistance with EHS committees.
• Identifying latest innovations in EHS risk assessment and reduction, engineering design, operations, and pollution prevention or compliance strategies and making others aware of their potential application to assigned projects. Assist in resolving operational failures and inefficiencies that may manifest themselves as EHS deficiencies.
• Organizes daily activities, including technical components, to ensure timely completion of projects/assignments. Documents all work.
• Performs/supports planning of small EHS projects and interim goals for project completion and assists operational areas in plans to reach EHS compliance objectives. Participates in shutdown planning and scheduling, decontamination and decommissioning.
• Complies with all company policies and standards.
What you bring to the company:
• Bachelors Degree
• 5+ years of related work experience in Pharma or BioPharma
• OSHA Industry Training
• Knowledge of MSDS, and Regulated Environments (cGMP, OSHA, EPA)
