Randstad are currently working with a reputable council who are seeking an Environmental Health Officer to support their team on a term contract basis This position offers a fantastic chance to utilise your expertise and contribute to a thriving community.
This position is available in a part time or full time capacity with genuine flexibility on offer.
Hourly rate starting from $51.28 per hour depending on experience
What you'll be doing:
• Primarily conducting independent food premises inspections in accordance with the South Australian Food Act 2001 and relevant standards.
• Ensuring public health and safety through thorough assessments and enforcement.
• Preparing clear and concise inspection reports and correspondence.
• Collaborating effectively with food business operators to provide guidance and ensure compliance.
• Potentially assisting with other environmental health-related tasks as required.
What you'll bring:
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, enabling you to interact professionally with various stakeholders.
• A Bachelor of Applied Science (Environmental Health) or an equivalent, relevant diploma.
• Current authorisation from the South Australian Government to carry out food premises inspections (essential).
• Proven experience in conducting food safety inspections and a strong understanding of relevant legislation.
• The ability to work autonomously, manage your workload effectively, and prioritise tasks.
• A proactive and solution-oriented approach with a commitment to maintaining high standards.
• A valid driver's license required.
