Description
The Department of Environmental Studies and Science is seeking Student Event Assistants to support a series of upcoming events.
These events will take place on April 4, April 11, April 25, and May 2, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, bringing together students, staff, faculty, and members of the broader community to collaboratively tend to the farm. Following the farm activities, participants will share a pre-arranged lunch while engaging in discussions on various aspects of environmental justice and well-being. Lunch will be provided free of charge to all individuals who pre-register.
Student Event Assistants will be responsible for:
• Designing and distributing promotional materials, including flyers and social media posts.
• Coordinating event registrations through Eventbrite.
• Managing email communications and sign-ups.
• Ordering food and ensuring logistical preparations.
• Conducting pre- and post-event surveys for each session.
Candidates should be highly organized, motivated, and responsive to email communications. This role offers valuable work experience and serves as a strong addition to a resume. The expected workload is approximately four hours per week, and participation in all four gatherings is preferred.
