Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety program or project management.Preferred Qualifications

Masters degree in Occupational Health and Safety, a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.Credentials or certifications from Board of Certified Safety Professionals, NEBOSH or equivalent agencies.Experience communicating with AHJs (Federal, State, and Local Authorities) for notifications and permit conformance.Experience in data centers or electrical safety.Excellent collaboration, project management, and written and verbal communication skills. The Global Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Operations program aims to provide a reliable and scalable EHS service that empowers all stakeholders to achieve a safe, sustainable work environment, regardless of geography or operational differences, advocate and influence leaders to establish a healthy work environment, and ensure that Google infrastructure complies with all applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations and requirements.

This commitment extends to Environmental Regulatory Compliance and Technical Due Diligence, Occupational Safety Regulatory Compliance, Occupational Health Regulatory Compliance, Contractor Management and EHS Performance Management, Incident Investigations, Design for Safety, New Product Introductions, Consensus Standards, and Assurance.

As an EHS Program Manager, you will be a key contributor to continuous improvement across Google's EHS operations. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams within Google Data Center departments and contractors to identify and address EHS concerns, risk identification and mitigation. You will ensure the safety of the operations workforce, protection of the environment, and Googles business. Furthermore, you will provide support with the implementation of new and critical EHS initiatives.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $132000 - $189000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Lead the full lifecycle of EHS programs, which may extend beyond your immediate team, driving impactful operational and technical improvements.
Anticipate issues, propose solutions, and identify needs to develop or improve EHS Operations tools/processes. Evaluate incident data and track corrective actions.
Evaluate EHS impact during data center design reviews, equipment, and process changes. Perform EHS risk evaluations and define process controls for new processes.
Ensure comprehensive AHJ compliance, manage permits/KPIs. Provide site ownership and drive EHS turn-up of new locations with little supervision, demonstrating complete campus EHS ownership.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders, managing dependencies. Own site-based EHS decision-making and serves as a recognized subject matter expert in multiple EHS verticals.
