Job Description

Johnson Controls is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Professional in Mumbai, India. The role involves developing EHS programs, conducting audits, providing training, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 3-5 years of EHS experience. Strong analytical skills and knowledge of EHS standards are required. This is a full-time position.
About the Role:

In this critical position, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of employees, customers, and the environment. As an EHS Engineer, you will develop and implement comprehensive EHS programs, conduct regular audits and inspections, and provide training and education to employees.

Responsibilities:
• Design and implement EHS policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend controls to mitigate risks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
• Develop and deliver EHS training programs to educate employees on safety protocols and procedures.
• Investigate incidents and accidents, preparing detailed reports and implementing corrective actions.
• Monitor and analyze EHS performance metrics, providing recommendations for improvement.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging EHS trends, regulations, and best practices, applying this knowledge to inform organizational decisions.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, Occupational Health, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in EHS management or a related role.
• Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, EPA, ISO 14001).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess and mitigate risks effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
• Proficient in using EHS management software and tools for tracking and reporting purposes.
• Certification in EHS-related fields (e.g., Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or similar) is preferred.
