Environmental Field Technician/Laborer

SET Environmental Inc is hiring an Environmental Field Technician/Laborer in Fort Wayne, IN. The role involves ensuring safety on-site, participating in environmental projects, and performing physical tasks. Candidates should be over 21, have a high school diploma, and be able to lift up to 50lbs. The position requires flexibility for on-call work and possible out-of-town projects. A valid driver's license is also needed.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
• Ensure the health and safety of the crew, customer, and site by adhering to SET safety policies and procedures by identifying, communicating, and mitigating hazards
• Take an active role on crews by participating in both scheduled and emergency response-based projects
• Assist in loading equipment and supplies for project needs
• Exert moderate physical effort, including lifting up to 50lbs
• Work in a variety of weather conditions
• Support of various environmental projects ranging from, but not limited to:
• Confined Space Entry - CSE
• Environmental remediation
• Waterway response
• Hazardous materials clean up
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as necessary

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred
• Must be over 21 years old
• 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER or ability to obtain
• Must be flexible to changes in work schedule and be available for On-call
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to perform physical labor under direction of crew leads
• Ability to respond to out-of-town projects as needed
• Ability to speak, read, and write English sufficiently
• Industry/Construction experience preferred but not required
• Valid Driver's License with good driving record that meets SET insurance requirements
