Environmental Field Technician

Resource Options is seeking self-motivated Environmental Field Technicians in Hartford, CT. Responsibilities include soil remediation, chemical decontamination, sample collection, and emergency response services. Candidates should have a basic understanding of environmental regulations and a commitment to safety. The position offers overtime, company-paid training, and a referral bonus program. We are looking for self-motivated Environmental Field Technicians to join our team in the Hartford area! The Field Technicians responsibilities may include but are not limited to performing confined space entries, soil remediation, chemical decontamination, underground and above ground storage tank cleaning and closure, sample collection, separator cleaning and emergency response services. Position Responsibilities

Determination/eagerness to learn and retain a basic knowledge of daily work practices
Develop an understanding of DOT, EPA & OSHA regulations
Understand and execute all required paperwork
Pickup and delivery of hazardous and non-hazardous waste and materials with a sharp focus on customer service
Ability to wear a respirator for 4- 6 hours per day
Provide clients with high-quality and professional customer service
Assist Supervisor, Leadsman and other Equipment Operators as requested
Complete emergency response training and be placed on an emergency response team
Ability to lift items that weigh up to 75 lbs.
Ensure Health & Safety is the number one priority by following policies, procedures, and acting in a safe manner at all times
Experience handling hazmat material (preferred not required)
Maintain a good working order and appearance of assigned Company vehicles and any other assigned equipment
Provide timely reporting of work related accidents and incidents to their supervisor

Position Qualifications

OSHA 40 Certification (Training Provided)
Basic knowledge of, or interest in, environmental services and hazardous waste field
Successful completion of OSHA/ DOT physical examination which includes drug and alcohol screening
Experience with Hazardous Waste removal
Ability to work over time if needed
