Environmental Engineer

RADIANT is hiring a Senior PHE / Environmental Engineer in Odisha, India, requiring a postgraduate degree and 15-20 years of experience in engineering and planning for urban and rural infrastructure. Responsibilities include strategic planning, project implementation support, stakeholder coordination, capacity building, and monitoring. Location:

Odisha (Multiple Locations as per Project Requirements)

Educational Qualification:

Postgraduate Degree in Public Health Engineering or Environmental Engineering from a recognised institution.

Experience:

Minimum 15–20 years of progressively responsible experience in engineering, planning, and coordination roles, particularly in government advisory projects focused on urban and rural infrastructure , including water supply, sanitation, and environmental health.

• English – Fluent

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Advisory
• Provide expert advice and technical support to government bodies on the planning and execution of environmental and public health engineering projects.
• Lead planning initiatives across urban and rural sectors aligned with state and national development goals.

Project Implementation Support
• Support the preparation of DPRS, feasibility reports, and technical documentation.
• Please make sure to implement projects according to approved norms and quality standards.

Stakeholder Engagement & Coordination
• Coordinate with various departments of the Government of Odisha, funding agencies, contractors, and local authorities.
• Facilitate inter-agency meetings and field-level consultations.

Capacity Building
• Organise and deliver technical training sessions for government officials and field staff.
• Build knowledge around sustainable and innovative engineering practices.

Monitoring & Documentation
• Monitor on-ground progress of engineering projects, maintain quality control, and submit periodic progress reports.
• Document case studies, impact reports, and lessons learned.

Field Visits
• Regularly visit project sites across Odisha to assess field conditions, guide implementation teams, and provide technical inputs.

Additional Requirements:
• Proficiency in engineering tools, project management software, and GIS-based platforms preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage large-scale infrastructure projects in challenging environments.
