Job Description

Veenstra & Kimm, Inc. is hiring a full-time Environmental Engineer for their Omaha/Council Bluffs office. The role involves collaborating with engineers and technicians on various civil and environmental projects. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, with 5-10+ years of relevant experience, particularly in municipal wastewater and drinking water treatment. Position Description

We are currently seeking a full-time Environmental Engineer to join our Omaha/Council Bluffs office. Our team works with communities on a wide range of civil, municipal, and environmental projects. We are looking for a Professional Engineer who would work with Engineers, CAD Technicians, Construction Observers, Land Survey Chiefs and office staff in various capacities.

Responsibilities
• Participate in Business Development, including initiation of client contacts and preparation of project proposals.
• Client contact including attendance at board or council meetings.
• Prepare detailed technical engineering reports.
• Prepare plans and specifications for specific projects.
• Work with Construction Observers/Resident Technicians during all facets of construction.

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering with Master’s degree preferred.
• 5-10+ years of environmental engineering design experience.
• Experience in municipal wastewater treatment and drinking water treatment design and construction.
• Iowa or Nebraska P.E. license or EIT certification with ability to obtain P.E. license within 1 year preferred.
