Basic Job Functions:
The role of the Environmental Engineer are as follows: 1) Demonstrate safety leadership. 2) Execute compliance reporting requirements for air, water, and solid waste. 3) Understand and implement Engineering Management System. 4) Perform required environmental training for Team Members. 5) Manage improvement projects.Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Undergraduate technical degree, preferably in a core engineering discipline
• Completed college level general chemistry courses
Preferred Qualifications:
• College GPA of 3.25 or greater
