Job Description

Dewberry is seeking anEnvironmental Engineer with 0-4 years’ experience to be in our Parsippany, NJ office. The position will involve a variety of environmental sampling and reporting functions in support of site investigation, remediation, and regulatory compliance assignments supporting various clients in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.

Required Skills & Required Experience
• Works in a timely fashion to meet project, client, and/or regulatory deadlines and project budgets.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers, subconsultants, and county/agency review staff.
• Working experience with NJDEP, RCRA and CERCLA regulations. Knowledge of NYSDEC, PADEP, and/or NYCDEP regulations desirable.
• Multi-media sampling and contractor oversight is part of day-to-day responsibilities.
• Compiles, reduces, analyzes, manages, and reports field, instrumentation, geological, and/or environmental data using spreadsheets and other tools.
• Composes technical reports, memoranda, and other written communication.
• Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects.
• Ability to travel and perform field work.
• Ability to work long hours and be on call to accommodate the second (and/or third shifts), if necessary.
• Effective communicator (verbal and written)
• Proficiency with basic MS Office software
• Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering
• Current OSHA 40-hour certification with a current 8-hour annual refresher course certification.
