Job Description

The University of Florida is seeking an Environmental Education Educator (AmeriCorps Member) to deliver and evaluate educational programs for K-12 students related to Florida's environment. Responsibilities include organizing and conducting 100 onsite programs and outreach visits. A high school diploma is required, with a preference for a Bachelor's degree in relevant fields. Overview:
Join the world's largest positive youth development program, 4-H, and make a difference in the future of Florida's environment by educating our youth. As an Environmental Education Educator, you will help deliver and evaluate environmental education programs for students in grades K-12 and outreach visits to schools, organizations, and agencies. Responsibilities:
• Book, organize, deliver, and evaluate 100 educational onsite programs for students in grades K-12 related to Florida land, air, soil, and water using Florida 4-H Environmental Education curriculum
• Book, organize, deliver, and evaluate 100 outreach visits to schools, organizations, and agencies to teach Florida 4-H Environmental Education curriculum
• Participate in onboarding training, monthly check-ins, and quarterly performance evaluations
• Complete bi-weekly timesheet reporting and monthly data reports
• Submit quarterly narrative reports of education programs and delivery
• *Qualifications:**
• High School diploma or equivalent is minimum requirement
• Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience in sciences, education, natural resources, youth development, recreational leadership, or other related fields
• Must pass a Background Screening prior to hire
• Valid driver's license preferred
