We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.
Military service members and veterans with ranks from E5-E9, W1-CW5, or O3-O6, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity.

Job Summary
Provides expert, technical support to environmental regulatory review processes, environmental permitting for linear projects, and environmental program compliance. This includes analyzing local, state and federal environmental regulations, and permitting of current and future company facilities. Manages, from inception to completion, complex environmental projects. Analyzes environmental regulatory requirements and imposed regulatory limitations and develops management plan for compliance. Prepares position papers and technical reviews on the scientific and regulatory aspects of environmental impact analyses.
Coordinates environmental permitting activities for company facilities and operations. Provides expert testimony and presentations on environmental issues. Evaluates special projects and serves as coordinator or team leader. Represents company on various industry committees. Negotiates compliance issues of operating facilities with regulatory agency inspectors to achieve favorable outcomes. Develops and conducts environmental compliance training. Ensures compliance with environment requirements prescribed by laws, regulations, company policies, and company procedures.
Uses electronic databases to analyze and monitor company compliance with regulatory requirements. Provides emergency response direction and expertise, to address environmental emergencies such as oil or chemical releases. Minimizes impacts to the environment, company regulatory exposure, and response cost.
Primary focus is environmental due diligence and construction permitting support for electric transmission in VA, WV, and NC, but work will involve other duties as assigned.
Job
Duties Include:
Independently review projects under consideration for development or acquisition by Dominion Energy for compliance with applicable environmental laws and regulations and effectively communicate action items and compliance gaps to development team and management.
Independently determine environmental permit applicability for assigned projects with specific knowledge of Section 404/401, Section 7, Section 106, Erosion and Sediment Control, and Stormwater Management Programs;
Prepare applications and secure environmental permits or clearances required for construction;
Communication of environmental compliance requirements to development, project, field teams;
Technical assistance to sites/projects for environmental compliance;
Interpretation of environmental permits and regulations to ensure that compliance dates and requirements are met;
Independent problem analysis and development of compliance strategies;
Preparing and conducting training;
Writing and editing reports related to environmental programs;
Communication and coordination with regulatory agency representatives, negotiate permit conditions, represent Dominion Energy during regulatory inspections, and other regulatory meetings;
Oversight and technical direction of contractors and consultants including preparation of scopes of work, purchase requisitions, permit applications, permit support materials, and invoice approval;
Represents company before regulatory agencies, industry groups, and the public on environmental issues.
