About the position
The Environmental Consultant I position at RS&H, Inc. involves working within the Aviation team to provide environmental consulting services for airports. The role includes data compilation and analysis, report preparation, project management, and client interaction, all within a collaborative environment. The consultant will engage in environmental planning and stewardship, contributing to projects of varying complexity while adhering to federal environmental regulations.
Responsibilities
• Perform data compilation and analysis for environmental projects.

• Research and assist with report and study preparation.
,
• Adjust and correlate data for project documentation.
,
• Lead research and data collection efforts.
,
• Write sections for plans for projects of moderate size and complexity.
,
• Serve as a project manager on small stand-alone projects and task leader on larger projects.
,
• Develop client presentation materials and participate in client meetings.
,
• Identify, track, and lead small project pursuits and prepare portions of proposals.
,
• Participate in industry events and maintain client relationships.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in planning, aviation, environmental science, or related field from an accredited program.
,
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in preparing NEPA documentation for airport or DOT related improvement projects.
,
• Understanding of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and federal environmental laws and regulations.
,
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
,
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
,
• Working knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS is desired.
,
• Demonstrated project management skills.
Nice-to-haves
• Completed coursework in ecology, geology, biology, water resources/hydrology, environmental regulation/law/policy, urban and regional planning, noise and air quality analyses, and stakeholder engagement/public outreach.
