Environmental Consultant

Energy Jobline is seeking an Environmental Consultant for their office in Royal Leamington Spa, UK. The role involves addressing water-related permitting issues for HS2, requiring two days of office/site work weekly. Candidates must have experience in obtaining environmental consents, managing processes for major projects, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. A relevant BSc degree is essential. We require Environmental Consultants to join a small, dynamic environmental and sustainability practice based out of their Head Office, primarily in the rail, infrastructure and construction sectors.

There is an immediate need for Consultants for important water related consenting and permitting discharge issues on HS2, office/site based for two days per week initially.

We strive to ensure that water quality remains unaffected and that construction doesn’t add further stress to the environment or affect the security of public water supply.

You will be working with the guidance and requirements of organisations such as the Environment Agency, Local Authorities, and the relevant Water Companies.

The Following Qualities/experience Are Essential

Experience of obtaining Environmental Consents

Experience of effective communication with the relevant CGB

Knowledge of environmental contamination, hydrogeological, hydrology and flood risk considerations

Awareness and understanding of current Environmental legislation

Experience in managing the Environmental Consents process on a major development scheme and/or major infrastructure project

Experience of working with multi-disciplinary teams on complex projects

Proven record of working effectively on the environmental aspects of major projects, including securing Consents in a timely manner and ensuring compliance.
