HELIX Environmental is seeking an Environmental Compliance Specialist Director in Pasadena, CA. We are a California-based environmental consulting and planning firm that is dedicated to providing innovative solutions to complex environmental challenges. As an Environmental Compliance Specialist Director, you will be responsible for leading our team in ensuring that our clients' projects are compliant with relevant environmental regulations. You will work closely with our staff and clients to understand their needs and develop effective solutions that meet their goals.
• *Responsibilities:**
• Lead the team in ensuring that our clients' projects are compliant with relevant environmental regulations
• Collaborate with staff and clients to understand their needs and develop effective solutions
• Develop and implement comprehensive environmental compliance plans that meet the needs of our clients and stakeholders
• Manage large CEQA/NEPA compliance projects and on-call contracts
• Participate in negotiation and closing of high-priority contracts
• Work with other HELIX groups to bring in multi-disciplinary projects
• Represent HELIX in communications, team meetings, agency hearings, and networking/marketing events
• *Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in environmental studies, environmental science, environmental engineering, public planning, or a related field
• Minimum of 10 years of experience managing CEQA and NEPA compliance programs and preparing high-quality CEQA and NEPA documents
• Strong business development experience, with existing productive client and agency relationships in Southern California
• Excellent writing, verbal communication, and presentation skills
• Knowledge of Southern California environmental and regulatory settings, with related environmental/planning work experience within that setting
• Proven experience managing large-scale, multi-disciplinary projects
