Description
SAIC is seeking a top-notch Environmental Compliance Officer to join our talented team in Chantilly, VA. This position is responsible for providing oversite and expertise on environmental matters for the Government customer across all locations globally. To qualify for the role, you must have an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
In this role, you will perform the following responsibilities:
• Developing policy, governance, standard operating procedures regarding current and future environmental regulatory actions.
• Coordinating and participating in environmental and safety related meetings and councils.
• Reviewing NEPA documentation.
• Providing technical assistance and recommendations based on local, state, and federal policy and regulation.
• Conductions inspections, audits, and inspections.
• Monitoring and updating, as necessary, existing environmental permits.
• · Oversee energy usage program and help determine areas of potential improvement.
Qualifications
• Active TS/SCI with Poly is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in either Environmental Compliance or a closely related field with 12 years professional experience. Note: Additional years professional experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
• 5+ years of recent experience in the research and applications of environmental policy, law, and standards.
Desired Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in environmental engineering or closely related field.
• Professional credential; for example: Qualified Environmental Professional or Professional Engineer in Environmental Engineering.
• LEED AP.
SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.
Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
