Johnsonville is seeking an Environmental Compliance Leader to manage environmental compliance duties at their Sheboygan Falls, WI location. Responsibilities include monitoring chemical use, guiding hazardous waste disposal, supporting wastewater treatment operations, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. We employ over 3,000 members, and our products are enjoyed in 45 countries and served in 130 sports stadiums throughout the U.S. The Environmental Compliance Leader will manage the environmental compliance duties within the organization. You will work closely with the company's sanitarian, sanitation teams, maintenance teams, and safety leaders to monitor chemical use and provide guidance on hazardous chemical disposal and the consequences chemicals might have at the treatment plants. This position will work closely with the WWTP operators and provide support with operations, DMRs, waste disposal, construction projects, regulation research, etc. The Environmental Leader will also work closely with the yards and grounds team to assist with any stormwater issues and to ensure pond maintenance and wildlife management are safe and comply with laws. You will complete the Sheboygan campus facilities wastewater, stormwater, potable water, air emissions, Tier II, and RMPs permits. In this role, you will be responsible for driving improvement in environmental compliance, performing internal audits, and providing environmental training. You will interface with State and Federal agencies, manage regulatory compliance across all Johnsonville facilities, and support business expansion. Your efforts will contribute to the continuous improvement and implementation of the company's environmental program, ensuring full compliance with federal and state regulations, environmental policies, and company procedures across all facilities. You will also lead the campus hazmat team and co-lead the corporate PSM/RMP committee, ensuring that all facility permits and written plans are maintained. This position requires occasional travel by car or air to other Johnsonville locations or vendors.

Responsibilities

• Support WWTP operators with operations, DMRs, waste disposal, construction projects, and regulation research.

• Assist with stormwater issues and ensure pond maintenance and wildlife management comply with laws.

• Complete wastewater, stormwater, potable water, air emissions, Tier II, and RMPs permits for the Sheboygan campus.

• Perform internal auditing and environmental training to drive standardization and continuous improvement.

• Interface with State and Federal agencies and manage regulatory compliance across all Johnsonville facilities.

• Drive the continuous improvement and implementation of the company's environmental program.
,
• Communicate significant risk issues to operations and senior leaders regarding environmental incidents and reporting.

Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree required.
,
• 5 years of experience leading environmental compliance in a manufacturing environment.
,
• Comprehensive knowledge of air, stormwater, wastewater, drinking water, EPCRA, SARA, RMP, waste management, and Oil Spill Prevention.

• Knowledge of EMS systems and federal, state, and local regulations.
