Job Description
The Environmental Compliance Administrator at Flyers Energy Group in Auburn, CA, is responsible for managing compliance programs related to permitting, testing, and inspections of company facilities. Duties include maintaining regulatory knowledge, managing records for storage tank systems, ensuring health and safety training, and overseeing hazardous waste programs. The position requires onsite presence, with a salary range of $23 - $26/hr plus benefits.

The Environmental Compliance Administrator is responsible for ensuring compliance of all company operated facilities by managing our compliance program as it relates to permitting, testing, and inspections. Coordinates follow-ups to all inspections to include management of paperwork and ensuring necessary repairs are completed pertaining to compliance.
Location: Auburn, California - Onsite only
Salary: $23 - $26/hr DOE plus 5% annual bonus

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Maintain a working knowledge of all current Local, State, and Federal regulations pertaining to Underground Storage Tanks (UST) and Aboveground Storage Tanks (AST).
• Maintain a working knowledge of Local, State, and Federal health department regulations and fire codes throughout multiple States and local districts.
• Maintain a working knowledge of various states Air Pollution Control District (APCD) regulations.
• Maintain Company standards pertaining to matters of compliance with both existing and upcoming regulatory requirements.
• Maintain records associated with the underground and above ground storage tank systems to include: Permits, testing, hazardous materials business plans (HMBP), financial responsibility, emergency response plans, Spill prevention counter control measure plans (SPCC), and Storm water pollution prevention plans (SWPPP).
• Coordinate with all necessary parties to ensure that UST equipment including: piping, dispenser pan, automatic tank gauge, tank and pipe monitoring, overspill and overfill protection, and dispensers are all operated and maintained within proper compliance.
• Ensure all health and safety related training is maintained up to date and all employees are receiving proper training.
• Manage on-site hazardous waste program to ensure proper storage, handling, and disposal practices.
• Manage repairs and small construction projects by determining best course of action, soliciting bids, hiring contractors, and managing completion of the job.
• Assist with management of the UST Tank Fund: Collect and maintain documentation for reimbursement, compile and submit reimbursement requests, research additional information and provide arguments for appeals, maintain Tank Fund reconciliation, solicit bids, file claims.
• Assist in logging, reviewing and responding appropriately to documentation received via email and regular mail.
• Maintain effective communication through company helpdesk system.
• Perform other specific tasks as assigned.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Promote and support company image standards
• Cross train and/or act as back up for other positions in the department
• Adheres to all city, county, and state regulations
• Stay familiar with the Company Handbook and Company Policies.
• Communicate effectively with team members in other departments to resolve problems and provide information as needed
• Work in a safe manner at all times and report all accidents immediately
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors of Science (B.S.) with a degree in environmental, Health & Safety, or other related fields is required. Other education and/or experience may be considered as a substitute. Proficient in MS Office applications and Google applications/email required.
