TransGrid is seeking an Environmental Business Partner for a full-time role based in Sydney, NSW. The Opportunity

This is an opportunity for you to play a key role in Transgrid’s HumeLink project as an Environmental Business Partner. You will ensure best-practice environmental management and compliance across all phases of the project, helping to drive sustainability and regulatory excellence.

In this role, you will be responsible for conducting environmental assurance activities, developing compliance documentation, and engaging with a range of stakeholders—including contractors, government entities, and communities—to support the successful delivery of HumeLink. Working closely with the Environment and Sustainability Manager and Senior Environmental Business Partners, your expertise will allow you to provide expert advice, oversee environmental approvals and help implement industry-leading environmental practices.

About You
• Tertiary qualification at degree level in an environmental science/engineering/management related discipline or equivalent, with demonstrated experience in the use of geographic information systems related to environmental planning and management being desirable
• Experience reviewing technical studies, reports, management plans, and interpreting drawings and designs to understand environmental impacts and management measures for implementation.
• Understanding of the environmental and social aspects and impacts of large infrastructure projects including electricity supply projects and substantial knowledge of the IS Rating Scheme.
• Experience in the environmental management and delivery of State Significant Infrastructure (SSI) / Major Projects.
• Experience in the management of contracted environmental specialist services.
• High level of written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills and ability to self-manage, work under pressure and work in a team environment.

This role may entail travel, so you must hold a current driver’s licence.
