Job Description

DNV is hiring an Environmental and Permitting Consultant in Imola, Italy. The role involves project management and engineering services for solar projects, including technical due diligence, project monitoring, and customer communication. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree, over 5 years of experience in the solar sector, and be proficient in Microsoft Office. The position requires travel and collaboration with various stakeholders.
DNV is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Environmental and Permitting Consultant to join our Regional Team in Italy.
• Environmental and Permitting Consultant
• The Consultant will be based in the Imola, Bologna, or Milan office and involved in independent and owner's engineering services through the entire lifecycle of solar projects and for a wide range of customers, supported by colleagues from other disciplines.

The Consultant will spend most time conducting direct project work for Customers and project management. It will be considered a plus if the person is recognized as an expert in renewable energy industry with previous experience in project development.
• Tasks include Direct Project Work, Technical Due Diligence process for renewables projects under development and in operation, Owners Engineering desktop services for supporting solar project development, construction, and operation, Project Construction Monitoring and on-site inspections, Project Management, Bid Management, and coordinating and managing proposal preparations and Customer's communication until contract signature.

Position Qualifications :
• At least Bachelor's degree in engineering; MSc Degree is a plus.
• 5+ years of professional experience in solar sector (preferably consultancy or engineering companies) and at least 3 years in solar energy sector in Italy.
• Experience in technical due diligence processes, on-site assessment as well as environmental and permitting review, GIS tools for site assessments, and Environmental, Social and Governance services.
• Lead and support independent qualitative and quantitative analysis, willing to travel across the country and internationally, ability to work independently, with internal team, and with external partner organizations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; valid driving license.
