As we continue to develop our Marine & Offshore activities, join our organization as Environmental and Greenhouse gases emissions verifier. The position is located within our local team in Mumbai, India.

### Role & main responsibilities

Within the Environmental Independent Verification Team in Mumbai, you will join a team in charge of activities related to the verification of Greenhouse Gases (GHG). The latter will consist in delivering compliance verifications pertaining to IMO DCS, EU MRV and UK MRV schemes as well as their respective SEEMPs and monitoring plans. This scope of verification will also include upcoming Regulatory requirements that will enter into force over the following years (e.g. IMO Lifecycle Analysis Guidelines or FuelEU Maritime).

The newly formed team will work in close collaboration with existing environmental teams worldwide and in accordance with the instructions, processes and qualification schemes of the BV M&O division quality system.

The position will encompass below responsibilities:

- Perform independent compliance verifications related to requirements of IMO DCS, EU MRV, FuelEU Maritime and others.
- Once qualified as per BV M&O procedures, support the review of SEEMPs and Monitoring Plans to comply with Regulations like FuelEU Maritime or EU MRV.
- Contribute to following voluntary reviews:
- Book & claim projects.
- GHG emissions over one voyage or on a given period of time.
- Interact with Subject Matter Experts worldwide to consolidate practical verification procedures and control checks.
- Get in touch with worldwide BV M&O network involved in GHG emissions verification, both in head office and in the zones.
- Contribute to the development of digital solutions (i.e. VeriSTAR GREEN) to support the efficient verification of GHG emissions and the understanding of upcoming Regulations.
- Follow-up of Regulatory development pertaining to GHG emissions verification at IMO, EU and Regional levels.

### Requirements

- University degree in technical sciences.
- Experience in GHG emissions monitoring reporting and verification schemes (EU MRV/ETS and/or IMO DCS preferable) and/or;
- Experience in calculation of carbon footprint or GHG emissions (for industry/aviation) as per GHG emission schemes and/or;
- Experience in verification of GHG emission reports;
- Knowledge of maritime industry and environmental rules applying to the sector.
- Experience as former seafarer or direct experience with shipowners as clients would be highly appreciated
- Thorough and structured, you have good analytical and writing skills. You appreciate teamwork but are also capable of being autonomous and self-driven.
- Full proficiency in English.
