About the position

The Environmental Analysis Supervisor at the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is responsible for leading and managing the environmental analysis and review program's south region team. This role involves overseeing the environmental review and permitting of transportation construction projects, ensuring compliance with the Wisconsin Environmental Policy Act, and collaborating with various stakeholders to protect and manage natural resources effectively.

Responsibilities
• Lead and supervise the environmental analysis and review program's south region team.
,
• Manage the environmental review and permitting of transportation construction projects administered by local governments.
,
• Oversee the approval of projects under the DNR-DOT Cooperative Agreement.
,
• Implement the Wisconsin Environmental Policy Act as per NR 150, Wis. Admin. Code.
,
• Coordinate with state and federal regulatory frameworks for environmental protection.

Requirements
• Professional experience leading teams of environmental science or regulatory staff.
,
• Experience in environmental impact analysis project management.
,
• Knowledge of state and federal regulatory frameworks for the protection of navigable waters, wetlands, surface waters, or listed species.

Nice-to-haves
• Experience supervising environmental science or regulatory staff, including recruitment and performance management.

• Experience leading environmental reviews of transportation construction projects such as roads, highways, bridges, or railways.

• Ability to develop and maintain relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders.
