Larsen & Toubro is seeking an Environmental professional with a Post Graduate degree and 8 years of experience in highway projects. Responsibilities include communicating EHS policies, updating EMP plans, promoting biodiversity awareness, ensuring client compliance, and monitoring environmental attributes. The position is based in Dhubri, Assam, India, and is a full-time role.
• Post Graduate degree in Environmental Sciences/Environmental Engineering/ Environmental Planning or similar qualification
• Professional Experience of at least 8 years in handling Highway projects.
• Ø Disseminate and Communicate EHS Policy, EHS Management System requirements to project personnel.
• Ø Update the EMP Plan to the requirements of the activities being conducted when there is a revision.
• Ø Identify key issues for biodiversity in the Project.
• Ø Plan and conduct Internal Environment training programs, initiate drive to promote awareness on Biodiversity requirements.
• Ø Identify the client requirement for Biodiversity and ensure its compliance.
• Ø Identify alternatives that could avoid or minimize impacts on biodiversity.
• Ø Advise on the need for additional specialists to investigate specific ecosystem components.
• Ø Monitoring of Air, Water, Noise, and other environmental attributes related to both land and under water.
